By engaging with THE STOTRAM MONEYMART or providing your personal information, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information as described in this policy.
We collect personal, financial, and transactional information necessary to deliver mutual fund distribution services and meet regulatory obligations. This may include personal details such as name, address, date of birth, Permanent Account Number (PAN), contact details, bank account information, and investment preferences. We may also collect transactional data relating to mutual fund investments, and employee or representative certification records (NISM, EUIN). All data is obtained directly from the client, their authorized representative, or through registered regulatory and market infrastructure platforms.
We collect and use personal data solely for the purpose of performing mutual fund distribution and related compliance activities. This includes KYC and anti-money laundering verification, processing mutual fund transactions, maintaining accurate client records, communicating investment information or regulatory updates, and complying with legal obligations under SEBI, AMFI, and other applicable authorities. We do not use personal data for unrelated marketing or non-business purposes without obtaining prior consent from the investor.
We follow the principle of data minimization by collecting only essential information necessary to fulfil regulatory and operational responsibilities. Information is shared strictly with Asset Management Companies (AMCs), Registrar and Transfer Agents (RTAs), and approved IT or compliance vendors who assist in the execution and servicing of transactions. All such parties are contractually bound by confidentiality obligations and must adhere to the same standards of data protection as prescribed under AMFI Data Sharing Principles.
The processing of personal data is based on the client’s consent obtained at the time of onboarding, as well as on our legal obligations under SEBI, AMFI, and the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). In certain cases, the processing may also be necessary for the performance of a contractual obligation or for legitimate business interests, including regulatory compliance reviews, audits, or risk management assessments.
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data to any third party. Personal data may be shared only with AMCs, RTAs, KYC Registration Agencies (KRAs), regulatory authorities (SEBI, AMFI), and authorized IT/compliance vendors, strictly for the purpose of executing and servicing mutual fund transactions or meeting regulatory obligations. Sharing with group companies for cross-marketing purposes is strictly prohibited as per AMFI Code of Conduct (Clause 2(f)(iii)).
All personal data is stored securely using appropriate physical and electronic safeguards. Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel only on a need-to-know basis. We maintain adequate cyber security measures to protect electronic data during collection, transmission, and storage, in line with AMFI Master Circular for MFDs (Chapter 7, Clause 3(b)).
Personal data is retained for the period required by applicable regulations, including a minimum retention period as prescribed under SEBI, AMFI, and PMLA requirements. Upon expiry of the retention period, data is securely destroyed or anonymized.
